Funny Girl

The video is a little dark, but this was the scene in our den last night. Trumon was playing with Lauren after she finished dinner(notice the lack of top, why wash a bib when bath time is just around the corner?!) and she was having a little Daddy time while I bathed Walker. After hearing lots of laughter I walked in to see this, she is just so funny and cute these days!

My Oldest(and even older after today) Friend

Today, a big Happy Birthday shout out goes to my best, dearest, and oldest friend Alyssa Caveness. It seems like yesterday that we celebrating our birthdays at the Singin' Wheels skating rink, and now here we are thirtysomethings - unbelievable! Alyssa is a friend in the truest sense. Our conversations(which take place at least once a day) are always honest, sometimes hilarious, sometimes sad, but always real. There is something about being friends with someone your entire life that just cuts through anything artificial or insignificant. She has always been there, through the good and the bad, offering support, advice and usually a good laugh. So here's to Alyssa(you ol' crazy girul-that's from Walker) Happy Birthday to my bestest friend!!!

A Lovely Day, Lovely Girl

Yesterday afternoon was incredible here. Temperatures in the mid 70s, just right for being outside. While Walker enjoyed the usual gathering of neighborhood friends, Miss Lauren contently played on a blanket, and posed for some pictures.

Kung Fu

I realize I am very behind with my blogging, I just haven't had the extra time lately. Today though, I have made time. The following footage is of Walker's sweet Kung Fu moves. Since watching the movie Kung Fu Panda, he has been practicing his skills every now and then. When he starts Trumon will sing the song Kung Fu Fighting, well he obviously has picked up on it!

How Much Fun Can You Have With A Hannah Montana Wig?

S0, as I mentioned earlier, my niece Britley celebrated her fourth birthday today. One of the presents she received was a Hannah Montana wig from her grandmother. Some of us had a really good time playing with it! You know what they say... Blondes have more fun!

Happy Birthday Britley!

Today is our precious niece Britley's fourth birthday. It seems like yesterday that Trumon and I made a mad dash from Tyler to Dallas to hold her just after she was born. I think the memory is so vivid to me because I was very pregnant with Walker at the time, and knew the next newborn I held would be my own. Britley is a beautiful, bright little girl, with a sweet and pleasing heart. We love the time that we spend with her. Walker often calls her his "friend", rather than his cousin - I think that is telling of how he feels about her. Last week we were delighted to have her spend her the day with us, and though it wasn't the sleepover we planned on, we still had a great time. Here are a few pics of our day (and part of the evening) together.
